PDF: Adding text to a PDF file with line breaks

Liquid Fitness Logo Design

[Rohdesign Weblog] My thinking was to first establish the flat version, because as you say, the majority of the logo use initially is for print applications. Maybe the water option wouldn't be that much overkill -- and with 2 blues to work with it might be not too difficult to pull off.

Vampix v1.0.03

[Windows File of the Day] Vampix lets you add black and white effects to your digital images by extracting (removing) colors from the images and creating a partial B&W effect. With some patience, you can create a neat effect, however we found it to be mostly hit and miss, with limited control over the results, and a rather complicated interface that lacks documentation.

Free online image editor

[TipMonkies] I’ve received a few e-mails since I started this site about what software I recommend for resizing images and my answer has always been the same: either Photoshop if you have a few hundred dollars to throw away, or GIMP for a free solution. The only real downside here is that these applications can take up quite a bit of hard drive space, so as always, I went looking for a free, web-based solution, and I found one with an extremely long name which we’ll just call Online Image Editor.

Vague Wisdom

[Vague Wisdom] One of the things I thought was really cool watching the show, was that as a side effect of making the wheelchair deal with sand and water, is that it also manages to take at least shallow steps. The wheels deform and reshape, and it must be a bit like riding a tank.

Stop ignoring platforms, embrace all users.

[WeBreakStuff] Microsoft is coming to a point where all it does is go with the flow, taking features from one or the other competing operating systems and glueing them on. Now I’m not saying they don’t have innovative stuff, but it sure as hell isn’t on the desktop operating system department.

Parasite

[Ektopia] Parasite is a mobile projection project where the projector is stuck to the side of a subway train and the images are projected onto the wall inside the tunnels. Take a look at the Parisite video and see how trippy the effect is, I would love to see this in action.
