Photoshop Quick Tips #10: Creating Glow Lines | Abduzeedo ...
[Abduzeedo | Graphic Design Inspiration and Photoshop Tutorials] Now that you already know how to make your lines you can use Layer > Layer Styles > Color Overlay to give the color you want to your line and to make it glow a little bit we will duplicate the layer and on the bottom one we will apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur (just enough to give it a little glow, I used 6.0 on mine) You can also give a different color to the layer with the blur so it creates a cool glow effect.

[David Lari's Blog] While GIMP has serious shortcomings, I will say that I know professional photographers who do not use a color managed workflow and who shoot in JPG instead of RAW, and thus only get 8 bit color out of the camera. In addition, if your eventual output is the web, you’re going to drop down to 8 bit color anyway.

pdf's from Quark - PrintPlanet.com
[PrintPlanet.com] Back when it was installed we were told to export a pdf from InDesign and make a postscript from Quark and use acrobat distiller to make a pdf. I don't remember why they told us to make a ps file then distill it but I’ve been getting some problems lately from the ps files from quark ie: rules around boxes that shouldn’t be there.
