Can Adobe Redefine Creative Workflow?

[Learning Community Group's Research Network :: Main Page] Adobe Bridge brings some advanced features of Panther and Tiger not yet available on Windows XP, such as the sidebar to store frequently used folders, as well as some smart search options. While the bridge does not compete with Tiger's search technology, Spotlight, users of Creative Suite 2 can define "Collections," folders that are automatically updated following search criteria defined by the user.

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

[engadgeted.net] Tiger, finally: After two failed delivery attempts last week and one this morning, i finally managed to have tiger... soonish anyway. Dictionary lookup everywhere is every bit as nice as expected. Smart folders in mail... support (the lack thereof forced me to install the abysmal adobe reader twice in the past)

Blurbomathttp://www.blurbomat.com [Blurbomat] Mac OS 10.4 and Font Book 2: I still am bitter towards Adobe for not doing ATM anymore, back in the OS9 days, ATM kicked Suitcase's ass. The one thing I want it to do, that I doubt it will do, but maybe you can answer, is if you open a file with a font that ISN'T activated, but in your library, will it activate that font automatically like ATM used to do?

http://www.unsanity.org [[unsanity] Weblog - Unsanity - Makers of Haxies, small useful utilities that enhance and redefine how Mac OS X works.] Exercises in Futility Part 2: Repairing Permissions is Useless: Based on this information (and the sheer stupidity of Installer.app) you can correctly assume that Repair Permissions won't touch any files in any of the user's home folders since Installer.app can't target user folders specifically, only any folder or a specific path, and there are no packages in ~/Library/Receipts/. The only way it'd ever touch any files in a user's folder is if you installed something that let you explicity select a folder to install in (there are very few of those, none are available from Apple publically) and you chose a folder inside your user's folder.

[So much fiber, so little time] Way too much fun with widgets: The Tiger install went smoothly, and I've having lots of fun with the new features, particularly widgets and smart folders in Mail. I also ported all my RSS feeds to Safari, even though it's not my preferred browser.

With that comes the nagging feeling that there will be some issues with broken 3rd party shareware apps scattered among my Applications folder.

[Chris.tantramarinteractive.com] Tiger (so far) | Christopher Mackay's blog: Tiger's installed, everything went well, and I've spent a few hours poking and prodding. My overall impression is that it's an elegant refinement of Panther, with enough new features to be well-worth the price.
