[sockparade] I’m really happy with Firefox and pretty attached to all of my different extensions and add-ons that I use.  I really didn’t want to switch to Safari.  I was about to switch and posted a comment on Twitter about it to further postpone it.  BTH asked me about it and in trying to find a good website to explain the problem, I discovered that Firefox 3 has a fix!

[AppleColors] AppleColors: Remember The Milk review: Contacts are useful when you have a group of friends or even co-workers who have the same tasks. For instance, you might have a meeting with some of your contacts, and perhaps you want to share this task with them, or you might have a basketball game scheduled with some friends, and wish to share this task with them, or even other tasks associated with the basketball game.

[Isriya Paireepairit] Why Remember The Milk Sucks | Isriya Paireepairit: Oh, and I also add RTM to my Google Calendar, hoping that I can get an alert to my mobile like when Google Calendar does. Unfortunately, the time zone in RTM cannot be changed and it is not Bangkok time - -" Thus, I get the SMS alert in the wrong time from RTM.

[Guardian Unlimited: Technology] Will Thunderbird fall to earth? | Technology | guardian.co.uk: Vast sums are poured into Firefox, but very little seems to get to Thunderbird or the calendar project, Sunbird. And now it seems two people working on a small project require too much management time and organisation for the mighty Mozilla Corporation to handle.

[Lifehacker Australia] What's On Your Productivity Wishlist For 2009? - Lifehacker Australia: When some of my friends post a blog entry or a status update, I'll get the entry via RSS, and then notification of it from Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed... Notifications like that should be consilidated so that if I'm already subscribing to the blog, I shouldn't get the other updates.

[Zen Habits] Ask the Readers: Favorite Productivity Software? | Zen Habits: to turn on my computer at whatever time I set, and three minutes after that I have it schedueled to open up my GMail - at the same time, my iSnooze goes off as an alarm. This helps me greatly because I can jump straight into doing what I need to do of a morning - its helped me remain focused first thing in the morning.

[TG Daily - All News] TG Daily - Microsoft upset about ”˜schizophrenic’ Vista research report: More than 87% were still running Windows XP at the end of last month. Considering the fact that Vista has been on the market for 18 months (21 months if you count in the Express upgrade period) and has been available to large-scale beta-testing even longer, the fact that only 8.8% of businesses run Vista may raise doubts over the benefits the operating system offers to businesses.

[The Microsoft Blog] Microsoft says it will slash up to 5000 jobs: Microsoft also said that travel budgets and marketing expenses would be slashed and confirmed that it would postpone almost all new construction on its campus in Redmond. The company also said that it would reduce the number of vendors and contingent staff .... Maybe the senior management who "led" Microsoft to this point should take a 20% pay cut. It is too bad Vista was so poorly received. At least Mossberg in today's WSJ thinks the next version of Windows will be good. ...

[Just Another Mobile Monday] Untethered: Do you Remember the Milk? | Just Another Mobile Monday: RTM lets you get away with a lot with just a free account, but I think a lot of users will be charmed into upgrading. There are a growing number of task managers forming up in the clouds, but I’m convinced that the best of their ilk is Remember the Milk (I sincerely apologize for this rhyme and any [sh]uddering it may have caused).

[Digsby Blog] Digsby Blog » Progress Report: Twitter obviously has been having its problems and it appears now those problems have enabled Plurk to come in and take a large portion of their user-base. I think Digsby would be very wise to add Plurk support at this time as there are no current desktop clients for managing plurk accounts (to my knowledge).

[Your Blog] Your Blog » Blog Archive » Something from Dell at D6: Here are the things I hear you saying that don’t add up to a netbook so much as an ultra-portable notebook: 1) VPN: VPNs suck an amazing amount of performance out of a system, and if your IT (like most peoples) is XP oriented, your are stuck with it too, which means you are stuck with Micro$oft’s 1GB or less restriction, which means you definitely need a system which is overkill in every other area, because XP plus VPN crypt/decrypt = full bore system, not a light netbook 2) When you are talking Excel (and I am thinking about mine, so I could be wrong) it’s not performance but display resolution that is going to get you: the Dell netbooks are reportedly going to top out at WSVGA (1026×600). If you are addicted to being able to see a lot of your data at the same time WSVGA is probably not what you are looking for: the “x600″
