[Adobe Featured Blogs] Even if the flash CS5 would be banned from use I bet adobe will come out with apps that will enable developers better than a lot of the mac development apps. Not only that windows has embraced flash as obvious replacement for java desktop apps and it's invading windows apps as well, socket connection and calling executables is what really changed the game!

[John Nack on Adobe] John Nack on Adobe: Adobe CTO comments on Flash & the App Store: John, your ever-rational perspectives and coverage in face of the events that might have Adobe adjust its strategy are inspiring. Much as there may be a variety of reasons for strategic corporate shifts the spectrum of negative commentary is at worst a waste of energy and at best a distraction from everyone's effort to focus on the path forward.

[Paul Kukiel - and what i'm interested in.] Paul Kukiel - and what i'm interested in.: Apple Adobe CS5 and the ...: Adobe is trying (and failing) to make platform's like Apple's irrelevant by hiding them underneath a compatibility layer, and in the process removing everything that makes the underlying platform unique and great. It seems like Apple is being a jealous sulky child about all this, not to mention greedy. It's disappointing that I am constantly being disappointed by Apple.

[Iphone Blog - Share Iphone Apps] Adobe fires back at Apple over cross-compiler ban | Iphone Blog ...: The timing could be to hurt Adobe CS5 sales (though certainly lots of creative professionals use CS5 for reasons that have nothing to do with Flash cross-compiling) or it could be an advance warning to developers not to use those tools because they won’t be allowed (or perhaps even compatible) with the final iPhone 4.0 release. Spending several months making an iPhone app in CS5 and then not being able to run it under iPhone 4.0 would be worse.

[CartoonSmart.com Blog] Are Adobe and Apple officially at war now? « CartoonSmart.com Blog: it seems that Google is preparing to jump on Adobe’s side in the battle with their recent decision to integrate the FVM with Chrome, and if they follow their plans to build a tablet that competes with the iPad this could be a huge blow for apple (since Google is easily twice the size and revenue of apple, plus has far more creative software engineers). They even already have flash very well integrated with android.

[FoneFrenzy - Mobile Technology Blog] Adobe is tired of Apple's tyranny, says 'Screw you Apple ...: . This has nothing to do whatsoever with bringing the Flash player to Apple’s devices. That is a separate discussion entirely. What they are saying is that they won’t allow applications onto their marketplace solely because of what language was originally used to create them. This is a frightening move that has no rational defense other than wanting tyrannical control over developers and more importantly, wanting to use developers as pawns in their crusade against Adobe. This does not just affect Adobe but also other technologies like Unity3D.
