Graphic Design Blog > ”˜Gargoyles’ to return as comic book

untitled #3http://inescapable.org [untitled #3] Gargoyles was my introduction to intelligent cartoons and internet fandom, and hit me at an impressionable enough age to change my life. That Weisman is getting a chance to continue telling the stories he captivated me with over a decade ago pleases me on a level deeper than even Joss Whedon and his Serenity triumph can reach: somewhere inside me is a wide-eyed ten-year-old hyperventilating with glee.

I understand that the first five episodes or so represented them getting started on the series and trying to get a handle on the characters and such, but I probably wouldn’t have stuck with it had it not been for how much Serenity impressed me.

While there was plenty for the characters to react to here there didn't seem to be enough space for them to do so.

What I care about most is seeing these characters again and being entertained without my brain rotting out because then I really would be a “mindless Whedonite” and the chip on the shoulder film critics will have won!

I say that you are all highly aware of this fact because, of course, my blog not only won the Pulitzer Prize for this, and, retroactively, every year dating back to 1917, but recently replaced the holy books of all major religions except Scientology, which is not so much a religion as the stuff you find between your toes, if it were animate and also crazy.

Gadgetmadness.comhttp://www.gadgetmadness.com [Gadgetmadness.com] Gadget Madness: Those of you who know me know that while I have a "gibbering fanboy madness" about gadgets, movies, and electronic gear, that it is once in a blue wonder that my eyes tear and I get truly, madly excited about something new. "Firefly" the TV series isn't new, as a matter of fact the last time "Firefly" aired was three years ago or so.
