The Modern Marigold: gimp girl tutorial: adding deco tape to ...
[The Modern Marigold] I have yet to find a really great comprehensive source of Gimp tutorials, but so far I've been able to figure most stuff out with Google + a whole lot of trial and error. The more I experiment with the program and with its different tools, the more proficient I feel.

[rawtherapee.com] but Gimp doesn't handle higher bit depths than 8 bits per channel per pixel, and I read that using wide color spaces at such a low bit depth leads to posterization when converting to sRGB. I don't know if what I read was correct or if I remembered it correctly - seems to me that if I don't do any global image edits like curves or levels then there shouldn't be any posterization (I use gimp only for removing unwanted objects and reprojecting images without editing the colors).

5 Useful and Fun GIMP Plug-ins
[Make Tech Easier] Kudos really goes to those who have worked so hard to develop these plug-ins and those package managers who have volunteered their time and effort to make them so easily part of the GIMP on Ubuntu systems; I suspect that the other major Linux distros (Fedora, Slack) have similarly convenient workflows, and that packages (“.exe installers”) for Windows might be available.
