Infectious Greed: John Hanke, founder of Keyhole (now part of Google), just did something in his Where 2.0 presentation that I think was a software first: He apologized for having created a binary-installed app (Google Earth) as opposed to a web app. How the world has changed that doing a binary app now requires an apology. [Google.weblogsinc.com] Google Earth Launched Publicly - The Unofficial Google Weblog ...: As noted in my review, Earth is a significant cosmetic upgrade to Keyhole, and also incorporates more complete global stellite imagery. The best news is that Earth is free, as hoped, whereas Keyhole required an annual subscription.
